Memories of Water

The death of a parent is a sad inevitability in our lives. In this play, three sisters meet on the eve of their mother’s funeral, inextricably linked whether they like it or not.

The range of emotions released leads to tension, intensifying sibling rivalry. Shelagh Stephenson makes us laugh and cry as she ably draws out each character, demonstrating the impact of not only the sibling relationship, but also the individual relationship each had with their mother and the resulting detritus it has caused in adulthood.
